1. Introduction

Welcome to PBC Languages. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PBC Languages website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by PBC Languages ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

PBC Languages offers subscription-based access to language learning sessions. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.

  • Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis according to your selected plan.
  • Credits included in your subscription are subject to the terms of your plan and may expire as described in our credit policy.
  • All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, Stripe.
  • Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.
  • Unused credits will remain available for a 30-day grace period following cancellation.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

6. Booking & Cancellation of Sessions

Students may book sessions using available credits. Session cancellations are subject to the following policy:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session will receive a full credit refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session may not be eligible for a credit refund.
  • No-shows will not receive a credit refund.

7. Code of Conduct

As a member of the PBC Languages community, you agree to:

  • Treat all teachers and fellow students with respect and courtesy.
  • Participate constructively in group sessions and community activities.
  • Refrain from sharing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content.
  • Not disrupt sessions or interfere with others' learning experience.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this code of conduct.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and resources provided through the Service, including but not limited to lesson plans, curricula, recordings, and written materials, are the property of PBC Languages or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content provided through the Service without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PBC Languages shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service prior to the changes becoming effective. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local jurisdictions, without regard to conflict of law principles.
